Case Study: individual remote coaching with Emma

What can you expect from coaching? Will it suit you? Will there be a “before” and “after”?

Here’s a glimpse of a recent case to help you decide.

The client: a co-manager of a family farm

My role as coaching role involved accompanying a career decision: stay or go.

The stakes

A woman at a crossroads in her career, seeking for work-life balance, with a desire to develop her skills, her posture and her positioning within her peer group.

Choazan’s proposition

  • Individual coaching: 10 hour-long sessions, via videoconference, to fit the client’s schedule.
  • Create and maintain a safe, welcoming space, in which the client could take the time for reflection, feel supported, championed, inspired, and open up her horizons.

The results

Rapid breakthroughs as deeply-held values and motivations surfaced. The client came to me feeling in a position of inferiority and a vague desire to quit. Session after session, she incorporated her skills and legitimacy, and an ambitious, motivating new professional path came to light, coupled with a personal project she had not considered before. Instead of having to choose between A and B, she found she could have both. She decided to stay in her role, having realised she could also find fulfilment in her non-professional activities.

Our added-value

  • A coaching style that champions the client, believing in her ability to find her way – without advising or cajoling.
  • Questioning beliefs and certainties to lift the veil on unseen possibilities.
  • Creating the conditions for true connection, even at a distance, and adapting to the client’s needs in terms of schedule and pace.
